The zip code radius lookup tool generates a list of all Zip Codes within a radius (circumference) of another Zip Code.
You can use this tool to run two types of look-ups / searches:
- A “Pie” search
- If you set the “Between” field to zero miles, and the “And” field to your preferred radius, say X miles, you get a list of all the Zip Codes included in a circle of X miles drawn around your Zip Code of choice. Just like a pie with your Zip Code of choice in the center.
- A “Bagel” search
- If you set the “Between” field to a value (in miles) other than zero, you will get all the Zip Codes that are within the two rings that are drawn around your Zip Code of choice – just like the area of a bagel. Note: in a “Bagel” search, the number in the “Between” field MUST be SMALLER than the number in the “And” field
Zip code radius lookup is a standard way of targeting areas that within certain distance or driving time from one’s place of business. This is a way to cover more potential leads while not stretching yourself too thin because of committing to travel or serve customers that are too far for you to serve at a predictable cost.
